Our story

Our story begins not on a farm, but in community—a close-knit life built on shared values, simplicity, and connection. We always dreamed of more land, a deeper rootedness, and a place where our children could run barefoot through pastures, gather eggs from hens, and learn the quiet rhythms of nature. That dream took a leap of faith when we came across a listing for an 1790s farmhouse at auction. Sight unseen, we bid—and won. When we first arrived, the house was weary but proud, standing with centuries of stories tucked between the beams. The fields were overgrown, the barns empty. But to us, it was magic waiting to be restored. So we rolled up our sleeves and began the slow, loving work of breathing life back into the land. Our mission has grown along with our farm. We've committed ourselves to the conservation of heritage poultry breeds in need of caretakers—like our beloved Mottled Javas and the charming, endangered Dutch Hookbill ducks. These birds aren’t just livestock; they’re living history, and we’re honored to steward them. In the pastures, you’ll also find our ADGA-registered Nigerian Dwarf goats, raised with care for both milk and show. They're gentle, spirited creatures—just like our three daughters: Evelyn, Caroline, and Lenora—who are growing up with hay in their boots and stars in their eyes. Together, we're building not just a working farm, but a legacy. A place where conservation, beauty, and hard work intertwine. A place where old things are cherished, stories are passed down, and every sunrise holds promise. Welcome to our farm. We’re so glad you’re here.
